She received the prize for Lead Actress in a Drama Series to portray teenage addict Rue Bennett in the television series. The 24-year-old actress was nominated for this award. HBO said that the last pieces were now falling into place for the highly anticipated second season of Euphoria to premiere in the fall. On January 9, 2022, the first episode of the second season was televised, and the remaining episodes were broadcast on Sunday nights from 9 p.m. through the end of February 2022.

Euphoria Season 2 Release Date

After Season two was delayed due to the pandemic, the show broadcasted two special episodes in anticipation of the season’s launch, which featured Bennett’s recovery from relapse in the aftermath of his illness. According to the official release date, season two of The Euphoria will air on January 9, 2022.

Season one of the show, according to many sources, “has developed a beautiful world with an extraordinary ensemble led by the extremely brilliant Zendaya,” and HBO’s senior vice president of programming, Francesca Orsi, expressed her excitement about the show after its premiere.

Rue Bennett, the series’ protagonist who fights drug addiction and her mental health, has received considerable good acclaim since the show’s launch in Season One.

The plot of Euphoria season 2

Although the show has always dealt with complex issues and presented an uncompromising picture of juvenile drug use, mental health, and (at times, controversially explicit), some of the show’s actors think season 2 is poised to provide even darker plot lines than Season 1.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Zendaya called the next season “difficult,” adding, “I don’t believe it will be a joy to watch” at points. Sydney Sweeney (Cassie) had a similar perspective in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, calling the next episodes “darker and more dramatic.”

Look no farther if you want one of the most chaotic teenage tales ever told. Season 2 will most likely pick up where Season 1 left off, with Rue’s overdose and the consequent disintegration of her relationship with Jules—although there are currently no spoilers for what’s to come!

Euphoria’s Season 2 Trailer

To advertise the show’s second season trailer, which was premiered on December 20, 2021, the network adopted an intriguing slogan: ‘REMEMBER THIS FEELING.’ Beginning at around three minutes in length, a piece of baggage is carried into a Narcotics Anonymous meeting, which can be seen in the background.

Afterward, we hear Rue’s voiceover describing Jules’s first meeting with him: “When I first met her, I fell in love with her.” We may see Rue and Jules dancing in the remaining minutes of the teaser, Rue meeting a new acquaintance, Cassie having a bathroom fashion meltdown, and Maddy considering motherhood. Rue is embroiled in an argument with her mother and attends what can only be described as a dreadful New Years’ Eve party. There’s a definite sense of excitement
