he Nayaghat intersection on the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh will now be known as Lata Mangeshkar Square. On Wednesday, CM Yogi inaugurated the Smriti Chowk named after the music queen Lata Mangeshkar. Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy was also present with him. He was also the nephew and daughter-in-law of Lata Mangeshkar.

PM Narendra Modi gave his video message. He said that Lata didi was a seeker of Saraswati. His voices connected the world. Modi said Lata didi was happy with the construction of Ram temple.

Today is the 93rd birth anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar. Tributes were paid to Lata ji before the launch. After this, Lata’s nephew Adinath Mangeshkar and daughter-in-law Krishna Mangeshkar were welcomed. The bhajans sung by Lata were presented by the singer Savani Ravindra from Maharashtra.

CM Yogi said that the day of Lata ji used to start with the worship of Ram. Being this square is like a world record. Ayodhya is developing so much, it will lead to tourism and spiritual development. G Kishan Reddy said that in 5 years UP will set new heights in the field of tourism.

The CM also honored two members of the family including Lata’s family member Adinath Mangeshkar.

A short film will also be shown to show the construction of Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in 30 days which has cost around Rs 8.50 crore . It has been built in 30 days at a cost of about 8.50 crores. 11 books of the Global Encyclopedia of Ramayana, published by Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan, are also to be released.

Before the CM, his advisor Avnish Awasthi has reached Ayodhya. Along with this, DM Nitish Kumar is also present.

• It took 70 people to make a 14-ton veena.
• Veena was made in a month from bronze and stainless steel.

The Chowk was inaugurated at 11 am on 28 September. In the evening cultural program has also been organized at the inauguration of Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. An exhibition based on the life of Lata Mangeshkar is also being put up here. CM Yogi will inaugurate the exhibition, along with Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy will also be there.
